Honda launches the new facelift version of the Amaze at 5.29 lacs INR

As reported earlier, the facelift version of the Honda Amaze was launched today. This launch comes at a very important time for Honda as their numbers were shrinking due to the presence of  other compact sedans in this class, namely the Hyundai Xcent and Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire. With the recently concluded Delhi Auto Expo, it was pretty clear that yet another car maker, Volkswagen were getting ready to storm this segment with the Ameo unveiling. To suffice such serious competition and stay in the hunt, Honda has come up with the facelift version of the Amaze!

The new Amaze has received a reworked front, with new Dual Chrome Grill with a heavy Honda badging similar to the one seen on the Mobilio. The bumpers are wider with huge faux air intakes, a new air dam and striking fog lamps. There are minor tweaks on the rear too, which has a new premium remodeled tail lamps. It also receives Alloy wheels and ORVMs with turn indicators.

The interiors of the Honda Amaze is where you want to be as this car has received a major upgrade here! Its receives an all new dual-tone plush dashboard with air-con vents seen on the Honda City. It has a lot of intelligent utility spaces that could be well utilized. Moving on, it has received an all new 3D speedometer with Multi Information Display, auto AC with digital controls, Advanced BT audio with HFT, steering mounted audio controls and keyless entry. Honda has also introduced heat absorbing front windscreen that is expected to bring the cabin temperatures down in the soaring summers.

Safety is an area where Honda has never compromised. ABS with ABD and dual-airbags is offered as a standard. It is also packed with Immobilizer anti theft system that ups the car's security.

The new Amaze will continue to be powered by the 1.2 litre i-VTEC petrol and 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel engine. It is also offered in a petrol CVT avatar. The power figures and fuel efficiency remain the same.
