Yamaha has today launched the Cygnus Ray-ZR scooter for the Indian market. Note that it was first unveiled during the Delhi Auto Expo held in February this year. Last week, they had launched the Yamaha Saluto RX in India.
The Yamaha Cygnus Ray-ZR is developed around the idea of a next generation "Real Boy’s Scooter”. Clearly, the target audience are the young men (read boys) of the country.

The scooter is powered by an air-cooled 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve 113 cc Blue Core engine with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) unit. It weighs 103 kg, and features a glamorous design.

The scooter comes in two different variants - the disk brake model and the drum brake model. Each of these come in two different colour options.
The drum brake variant is priced at 52,000 INR, while the disk brake variant is priced at 54,500 INR. If you want to buy one of these, you don't have to wait long as they will be available starting May 2016.
