Reports indicate that Maruti would soon bring out the petrol version of the Vitara Brezza by the end of second quarter this year. This is partly in tandem with what we expected after user feedback.
The 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder BoosterJet engine is set to churn out 110 bhp of power and 170 Nm of torque.
This Direct Injection Turbo engine not only provides great performance and superior efficiency, but also helps Maruti in controlling the price of its sub 4-metre SUV, since bigger engines attract more tax.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, the most talked about compact SUV this year was launched today at introductory prices of 6.99 lacs to 9.68 lacs INR (ex-showroom Delhi). This sub 4-meter SUV will be available in four primary variants and two optional variants viz., LDI, LDI (O), VDI, VDI (O), ZDI, and ZDI (O).

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, the much awaited compact SUV from the stable of Maruti Suzuki which made its grand entry at the Delhi Auto Expo 2016 has finally received a launch date.
Yes, you read it right! This modern compact SUV, that would take on the likes of Renault Duster, Ford Ecosport and Nissan Terrano, is ready to be launched on 8th of this month. But reports suggest that the deliveries for the compact SUV would begin only by 21st March.
With the Vitara Brezza, one can brag about the fact that the engineers at Maruti Suzuki spent close to 5 years to bring in a high level of precision, with a localization level of 98% to the boot. This is indeed a great achievement that goes in tandem with the Make in India initiative by the Government of India.
As reported earlier, the Vitara Breza would be powered by 1.3 litre, 4-cylinder DDiS diesel engine for now. Based on user feedback, we expect that Maruti Suzuki would power this compact beast with a petrol engine, and perhaps even a 5-speed manual transmission coupled with Automated Manual Transmission by end of the year.
The price bracket for this compact SUV is likely to be between 6 - 9.5 lacs INR ( ex-showroom New Delhi). In this range, it is normal for any vehicle to be loaded with features. This vehicle is no different.
The Vitara Brezza boasts about push button start, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear park assist with reverse camera, touchscreen infotainment system with Smart Play, Apple Car play and navigation support, keyless entry to name a few.
