Honda launches the 10th generation Civic in Malaysia - India next?

Honda has launched the all new 10th generation Civic in Malaysia creating much buzz across the Automotive Industry as they claim to provide D-segment Value at C-segment pricing. Their claim seems to be aptly justified as the car is brilliantly designed, adequately powered and is loaded with top-notch features.

Initially showcased as a prototype at the New York International Auto Show last year, it was an instant crowd puller owing to its striking design and meticulous looks. Honda Malaysia has launched this car at an introductory price of 113,800 RM that translates to a figure of around 18.6 lacs INR. The company believes that this car would be a game-changer in both the C & D segment owing to its striking design, dynamic performance, fuel-efficiency, safety features and uncompromised interior quality,

Addressing the media at the launch, the MD and CEO of Honda Malaysia, Mr Katsuto Hayashi said,

"We are confident that the All-New Civic will not only live up to its name but also be the game-changer in the C-segment with its stylish design, new powertrain and class leading advanced features. The revolutionary All-New Civic has elevated the value of its predecessors and brought a whole new level of refinements and competitiveness to its segment."

• Sporty low and wide stance with dimensions of 4630 mm in length, 1799 mm in width and a height of 1146 mm
• Offered in 3 variants 1.8L-iVTEC, 1.5L VTEC Turbo and 1.5L VTEC Turbo Premium mated with Continuously Variable Transmission ( CVT ) for an optimum fuel efficiency
• Sleek and Aerodynamic exterior design with Full LED Headlamps and LED DRL's and Rear Combi lights
• Expect a silent cabin, thanks to Honda's lightweight soundproofing system
• First in class Remote Engine Start
• Walk away Auto Lock that locks all doors automatically as the driver walks away by 2 meters
• Electric Parking Brake and Auto Brake Hold
• 7-inch advanced infotainment system with multi-angle rearview camera
• Huge 519-litre boot space
