India's largest SUV manufacturer, Mahindra & Mahindra has unveiled its new 'Kool' kid on the block- KUV100. The latest reports suggest that the launch is slated on 15th January, 2016. Indian consumers can now book this compact Kool Utility Vehicle by paying a refundable deposit amount of 10,000 INR.
The design engineers at Mahindra have worked aggressively to provide this vehicle an SUV like stance with sharp cuts to attract the Young gen. As part of this strategy, Mahindra has also roped in popular Bollywood actor 'Varun Dhawan' for its promos and ads. Time will tell how successful M&M are with this strategy!
Slated to be a compact mini SUV, KUV100 is offered in 4 variants and 2 engine options:
Base variant- K2, Mid variant- K4, High variant- K6, and Top End trim K8. All variants come with ABS as a standard with optional Dual Airbags.
The engines are fresh from the Mahindra stable, especially the Petrol engine which was developed at a cost of 5 Billion INR. All engines are BSIV compliant.
For the first time, Mahindra is offering a vehicle in as many as 7 colors:
Fiery Orange, Flamboyant Red, Dazzling Silver, Aquamarine, Pearl White, Designer Grey and Midnight Black.
With the recent ban on diesel engines in Delhi and an outlook towards having compact cars, Mahindra has a clear plan for the future with its KUV100. If priced competitively between 4-6 lacs INR, the KUV100 would surely be an exciting buy.
