Though the Aircraft Carrier was commissioned in the year 1961, it was during the 1971 Indo-Pak war that it proved its worth , thus being hailed as the 'war hero of 1971'. Time went by and during 1997 it was decommissioned and was later preserved as museum ship in Mumbai till 2012. During the beginning of 2014, this icon was scrapped and auctioned off.
The fuel tank also sports the logo of an anchor with the words "Made with the invincible metal
INS VIKRANT" inscribed on it.
All said and done with regard to its relation with INS Vikrant, this bike clearly looks a little apart from the contemporary bikes today, owing to its moderate retro styling.
The headlights are bordered by a generous amount of chrome and a wind fairing. The muscular fuel tank with the logo looks quite bold along with the dual shade side panels. There is a generous amount of chrome around the rear tails lamps too. Overall the design seems welcoming.
Bajaj has started a whole new series of bikes with the V15, where 15 signifies that it is a 150cc bike. But interestingly Bajaj has also equipped this bike with a whole new 150cc engine which is tuned to deliver high torque of 13 NM. The ride quality and handling is expected to be commuter friendly.
It is currently available in 2 color options: Ebony Black and Perl White.
As far as the pricing of the V15 is concerned, the consumers would have to shell out INR 60,000 - 70,000.
Overall the V15 looks very promising and we expect good sales once it hits the market next month.
