Honda Navi has been making news ever since its unveiling in the Delhi Auto Expo 2016. Developed ingeniously as part of the Make in India campaign, this mini bike is based on their top selling scooter, Honda Activa. The bike is designed keeping the youth of India in mind, the fun factor and hence the out of the block design.
Powered by a 110 cc engine, this mini bike garnered the tag "Modern Day Powerful Luna" in quick time. It is light weight, can be easily maneuvered in the traffic, has decent styling and the best part, it is also affordable, being priced at just INR 39,500 (ex-showroom Delhi). Honda would offer this mini bike in 3 variants, viz. Street, Adventure and Off-Road.
With all the pros for this modern day two wheeler cross-over and the buzz that it has generated, we expected a good number of bookings. But reports indicate that the Honda Navi has received only 500 bookings so far through its Navi app. Though these numbers are quite small for a Honda two wheeler, the top bosses at Honda consider this an "encouraging response".
The production is set to begin in April after consolidating the total bookings till about that period.
