Honda has revealed the Civic Type-R Prototype at the ongoing Paris Motor Show. Honda Civic Type-R Prototype front

The Honda Civic Type-R Prototype is based on the low and wide Civic hatchback. To further aid aerodynamics, it is enhanced by a muscular body and several other modifications.

A sporty red accent line along with winged carbon fibre splitter makes the presence of an aggressive bumper in the front. Diamond mesh inserts fill the air intakes. The bonnet has yet another intake opening. The red 'H' badge marking the Honda branding is placed on an air vent on the nose of the vehicle. Finely-grained brushed aluminium-effect reflective finish decorates the exteriors of the car. Headlights and indicators are finished with dark glass to match with the paint.

20-inch piano black alloy wheels with red accents and high performant tyres make the base of the car. Carbon fibre side skirts run the length of the wheelbase. Arches are enlarged to accommodate the wheels.

Honda Civic Type-R Prototype rear

The rear bumper is wide. Carbon fibre diffuser runs below it. Then there are three fully functional exhaust pipes. The one in the middle is smaller in diameter and is coloured in red. The roof flanks point backwards towards the rear wing.
