Pininfarina Fittipaldi EF7 Vision Gran Turismo supercar showcased at Geneva Motor Show 2017

Pininfarina has unveiled its much-anticipated supercar, the Fittipaldi EF7 Vision Gran Turismo at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show. The company has tied up with the legendary Formula One racer and Indy 500 champion, Emerson Fittipaldi, for the same. It is said to be his dream track car and will be the first car to be released under the Fittipaldi Motors marque.

The vehicle is ultra light and is made up of carbon fibre with a very low centre of gravity. It is a result of the combination of Brazilian mastermind (Fittipaldi himself), Italian design (Pininfarina) and German engineering  (HWA AG). A shark inspires the sleek design, and the power-to-weight ratio is extraordinary. It weighs around 1,000 kg (2,205 lb) and will boast more than 600 hp (447 kW).

Though the exact engine to be deployed is not revealed, it is clear that a naturally aspirated V8 is used. It comes with an integrated gearbox, suspension and braking system.

The EF7 in the name refers to Emerson Fittipaldi and his seven children. Vision is his dream to build such a supercar. The Gran Turismo part relates to the upcoming presence of this car in the virtual world of the PlayStation game by the same name.

Only a limited number of Pininfarina Fittipaldi EF7 Vision Gran Turismo will ever be produced. The legend himself will personally coach anyone who books one of these beasts. The owner will also get a membership of the Fittipaldi Racing Club. The interiors and exteriors can be customised as per request, including wheels, colours, racing numbers and Fittipaldi's signature placements.
