Latest vehicle from Plant Oxford, the Mini John Cooper Works Countryman second generation, is all set to make its first public appearance at Auto Shanghai this year, which is scheduled to start on April 21.
The vehicle is the most spacious Mini ever. It also boasts of the most powerful engine ever in a Mini with an output of 170 kW (231 hp).
The new Mini JCW Countryman comes with an ALL4 all-wheel drive system. In China, it will come with an eight-speed automatic transmission gearbox as standard, which expects to achieve 100 km distance by burning around 7.4 litres of fuel. The car takes 6.5 seconds to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph). After all, China is their fourth largest market. Other countries are expected to get a six-speed manual variant as well.
The vehicle sits on 18-inch JCW alloy wheels with a sports suspension and sports brake system. The body is aerodynamically optimised, while the body kit looks meaner.
The cockpit is specially designed for the new Mini John Cooper Works Countryman and comes with JCW sports seats.
